CASCO technical work and related ISO initiatives
The event will feature sessions diving into CASCO’s technical work, including its collaboration with other ISO Technical Committees (ISO/TCs) in the key areas such as sustainability and Artificial Intelligence (AI). The day will also showcase a demo of an upcoming e-learning course on conformity assessment and the CASCO Toolbox. Be among the first to discover it!

The 39th CASCO plenary meetings and related working sessions will take place from Wednesday, 9 April to Thursday, 10 April. They will be face-to-face (F2F) at DIN Deutsches Institut für Normung, with remote access available.

Participation is restricted to representatives of CASCO members and liaison organizations. To take part in these meetings, please contact your national member body.

EU conformity assessment today and tomorrow
Plenary week will conclude on Friday, 11 April with a workshop titled EU assessment today and tomorrow.
This workshop offers a deep dive into the EU legislative framework, highlighting key requirements for market access and compliance. Participants will explore the role of conformity assessment, the CASCO Toolbox and best practices for successfully navigating the EU Single Market.

This panel will explore the European legislative framework, examining its modules, current implementation, and practices. It will address how conformity assessment is used within the framework, how EU regulators are making use of the CASCO Toolbox, and explore both the successes and challenges faced today, while looking ahead to the future.
European legislation and its global reach
This panel will delve into the evolving landscape of European legislation, with a particular focus on some regulations and developments that shape the EU Single Market. Key topics will include the Corporate Sustainability Due Diligence Directive (CSDDD), the Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism (CBAM), and Digital Product Passports (DPP). Panellists will discuss how these regulations shape business practices for navigating the EU Single Market, along with the role of conformity assessment and the CASCO Toolbox in ensuring compliance. They will explore what the future holds and what are the main priorities.
